CRIMINAL CASES INITIAL CONSULTATION: $ 500 This Initial Legal Consultation is a no-obligation confidential meeting for 1 hour, or as long as needed, in which I do the following: (1) Meet with you (alone or with others, as preferred) to learn the facts of your case; As necessary, go to jail to meet with Client. (2) Legally research and advise you of the law pertinent to your case; (3) Contact the Police, DMV, District Attorney, or any other agency or persons (such as the person you wish me to represent), and/or review the Court’s file to determine and advise you of the status of your case; (4) Answer any and all of your questions – and give you my legal opinions as appropriate. The goal is to help you to better understand your legal situation, issues and goals and / or the charges against you, the Court System and/or the criminal justice process, what you are facing, what the potential or likely outcomes are, what your legal options and best strategies are, and how I might be able to help advise, represent and defend you, and what are the Legal Fees for those services. (5) As a courtesy, even in the future, I provide follow-up legal advice, opinions or help, as new questions or issues arise in the future. Then, based on our meeting(s), you can decide afterwards if you would like to retain me to represent you (and/or another). If you do engage my legal services, the consultation fee is applied towards your payment of Legal Fees. PRE-FILING DEFENSE $ 1750 (i.e. – if you have not [yet] been charged but are in need of legal counsel to advise or prevent impending charges) Included Legal Services for FLAT FEE: for a Pre-Filing defense, before any charges are filed against you in Court: I work with you, I will advise, counsel, and research for you to help you better understand the nature of what charges could be brought against you, the criminal justice process, what you are facing, how, if possible to avoid or alter impending charges, what your legal options and strategies are, and how I might be able to help represent and defend you, if charges were to be filed and what the costs of that would be. I also specifically provide the following legal services : correspondence with the Police, Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney’s Office or any other pertinent government or law enforcement entity, on behalf of and with Client to attempt to prevent Client from being charged with these or any other criminal charges in Court. Services also include all attendances or phone calls with Client if meeting with Police or other authorities, and negotiations / representing Client to any entity to reach a Settlement. If charges are abandoned or never filed, then the legal service successfully includes. If charges are later filed against you in Court, then the legal fee paid for pre-filing Defense is applied towards the Legal Fee for Representation (Defense) at Court. REPRESENTATION (DEFENSE) OF YOUR CASE IN COURT Included Legal Services for FLAT FEE: Representation and Defense for entire case attending all Court Appearances on your behalf, and defending the entire case from that start to finish (except extra fee for trial). Attorney avails himself as Client’s full-time attorney, and services are only complete when the case is resolved, i.e. the above charges are disposed in any way by dismissal, plea, or trial. Only Extra Costs: are for hiring others – such as Private Investigators, Experts (Doctors etc), and costs are only incurred after authorization by Client. Attorney duties are to provide the above Legal Services as necessary to represent Client, and keep Client continuously informed of the progress of the case, and respond to all of Client’s inquiries. Attorney shall represent Client in the defense of the above charges in court, which includes: attending all court appearances, as well as: any pre-filing defense, obtaining legal Discovery of Police Reports and Evidence, supervising an Investigation and reviewing it with Client.. Also: Conducting all necessary Legal Research, filing appropriate Briefs with Court, and Representation at all necessary Motions, Conferences, and Hearings. Attorney will represent Client at DMV, if necessary to case.
